Edwin
Navas was born in Central American and traveled extensively throughout his
childhood. He lived in Guatemala, Honduras, Canada (Edmonton, Vancouver
and Victoria), the United States (Florida, Montana and New Orleans) and
currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Edwin's travels introduced him to
different cultures, wonderful people and allowed him to experience and enjoy
exquisite food, rich music and diverse cultures. Edwin comes from a hardworking
family.
Growing up, Edwin expressed his desire to become an entertainer through
his acting and Latin dance.
As Edwin enrolled in Junior High School in Edmonton, Alberta, he became
more eager to explore life as a drama student. While learning much from
his studies, it was his involvement in several theatrical productions where
he discovered that acting could bring his experiences and relationships
to life. Edwin followed his passion for acting throughout junior high school
and continues to do so today.
Edwin has
also achieved professional level salsa dancing skills and went on to become
an accomplished competitive salsa dancer. He has trained with some of
LA's best dancers; Alfredo Piceno, Jimmy Rumba.
Edwin earned an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from
NAIT in Alberta, Canada and has currently taken an interest in communications
and leadership training.
Edwin Navas
is currently training at Nick Conti's Professional Actor's Studio, YourACT
and with Shay Griffin. He is also training with Cooper Andrews of "The
Fading Fists" on fight choreography, staged fighting, gun handling
as well as stunt work.
Pursing and gaining knowledge of acting has been the most profound experience
of Edwin's life. He is considered a versatile, energetic, multi-faceted,
uninhibited, explosive, meticulous and dependable actor.
